Off to Earn Our Ears!

FINALLY!!!  The day came for Brandi and I to leave for California!!  Since she and her parents work super close to me, they were nice enough to pick me up and take me to MARTA since they were heading that way anyway.  We represented #TeamDuck on MARTA -

MARTA was pretty uneventful (thank goodness) so we got to the airport with plenty of time to spare before our flights.  We grabbed a bite to eat and then I hung out with Brandi and her mom until their plane left (we weren’t flying into the same airport).  We got one last shot of #TeamDuck before parting ways.  The next time we would see each other would be at the expo in the morning!

How funny are we that we chatted on Facebook while in the air?  Gotta love in-flight wifi :)  It was a nice and welcomed distraction since my personal entertainment screen wasn’t working!  Oh well…who cares…I was on my way to DISNEYLAND!!

Finally I landed in Orange County and one of the hubby’s coworkers, M, was nice enough to pick me up and take me to my hotel…but not before a stop at somewhere I’ve never been to and can’t get on the east coast -DDD 5
That’s right!!  We hit up In-N-Out!  I got my burger animal style with a side of fries….even bought M’s milkshake as a small ‘thank you’ for picking me up!  I must say I like the simplicity of the menu, how everything is fresh, and not to mention it’s cheap!

M dropped me off at my hotel, where I was staying with a fellow PBRC member, Jenny.  She was nice enough to offer up her room to me for the night since my roommates weren’t getting in until the following day.  She was so sweet and I really enjoyed chatting with her.  Thanks again, Jenny, and I hope to see you soon!

I drifted off to sleep, excited for the next day to come – the Disneyland half marathon weekend Health and Fitness Expo as well as taking my first steps into Disneyland and Disney's California Adventures!  Little did I know that I would need a good night’s sleep….
To be continued!

Have you been to In-N-Out?  What’s your favorite meal?

Until next time,

  5. We went to In-n-Out Burger as well! Being the east coaster I am, I admit the burgers were amazing, but Shake Shack does it better :)

  9. I've never been to an In n Out. I've always heard about them so I will have to add it to my list when I make it back to the West Coast. I love that you and Brandi represented at the airport. I hope to meet you girls one day at a future runDisney event!
