a Rafflecopter giveaway
Congrats, Kimberly! I will email you and you have 48 hours to reply back. If I don't hear back from her, I will pick another winner!
Pro Compression has offered a discount code to all of my readers! Use the code BLG13 to get 40% and free shipping on non-sale Marathon socks and calf sleeves! I know I'll be ordering a pair of red ones very soon!
My Dumbo training has been going well. With each run I'm going a little further than I did the run before. Yesterday I headed out on my favorite place to run - the Big Creek greenway - right after work. It's right near my office so it's very convenient for me to go by on my way home and get my run done. I'm still doing 1:1 run/walk intervals, and I can tell they are getting easier. Yesterday I was trying to run 1/10 of a mile during my run intervals, and I found myself "chanting" the number I needed to get to in my head, and everytime I made it to that number!
I was pretty happy with this distance for the 30 minute run. I was REALLY hoping to make it to 2.5 miles, but I'm slowly getting there. Next run is tomorrow so we'll see if I get some improvement!
I've got another giveaway coming up soon, so stay tuned!
Until next time,
Jen
You're doing awesome! T minus 100 something dAYS!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Kat! I can't believe we're almost to a double digit countdown number!
DeleteThanks for the ProCompression discount code! Nice run, so close to 2.5, you'll be there before you know it! I love that you were encouraging yourself by 'chanting', I do that all the time. It's very important to be able to push and motivate yourself!
ReplyDeleteHope the discount helps :) I was there once and I'll get back there, and maybe even more :)
DeleteCongrats, Kimberly!
ReplyDeleteWhat a good idea. . .I need to start chanting my numbers, too!
I cracked myself up because with each foot strike I would say part of the number I wanted to get to :)
DeleteI really stink at solo outdoor runs! I get about a mile in and want to quit. I'll be looking forward to how your run goes today!
ReplyDeleteI would rather run outside than on the dreadmill
